What version of the Bible is used?
All Children's programs except Army Adventure Camp
use both KJV and NIV version of the Bible, but it is only used for the daily
scriptures, you can easily adapt any other version if you wish!
Are Songs Included?
Yes! Look at the Individual programs for song
information, and music samples!
How can the same lesson be taught to grades 1-6?
Our children's programs are written for a 5-session and expandable to up to
13-sessions. Through these programs thousands of boys and girls have trusted
Christ as Savior and grown in their faith. It works! Kids of all ages love a
good story and Bible stories are the best! The creative variety of Story Telling
formats hold kids' attention and teaching tips help teachers appeal to different
ages and learning styles. Every Church that has used this curriculum has agreed
it works! The Kids love this format at our field-test.
Do children stay in one place or do they rotate to
various areas?
Organize your program any way you wish with these adaptable materials!
Suggested schedule is to rotate:
Preschool and elementary children meet together for the opening/closing
assembly. Then preschool children go to each area by their self.
Elementary children also go to each area by their self. After just a little
while off to another station, like their Bible lesson snack and games; lesson
review and memory verse teaching; or crafts.
Elementary children rotate by crews (varied ages in the same group) to four-five
areas.
What if I don’t want to use this multi-age team
method?
You aren’t required to group children in combined-age crews, but we strongly
recommend it because it works so well (and is proven in field tests and real
programs). Children, young and old alike, help one another throughout their time
together.
Plus you’ll minimize discipline problems because the diversity frees children
from the need to compete with peers of the same age.
Can kids of all ages really learn when they’re in
mixed-age groups? Doesn’t each age group have specific educational needs?
Studies show that children learn as much –or more– when they’re linked with kids
of different ages. Think of Traveling Crews as families in which kids naturally
learn with and from one another. Social skills improve, self-esteem rises, and
cooperation increases, and discipline problems vanish. The Younger children like
someone they can look up to, and ask questions to. The Older Children love it
when there asked how something works, or why this or that happened... like in a
bible story. They love to feel the responsibility, since they are "growing up".
This format works!
They rotate in groups for:
-Life Application -Snacks -Games -Crafts -Bible Adventures
Our VBS is small; do I need to have a different
teacher for each of the stations?
No, because our programs fits churches of all sizes! If you have fewer than 40
children, you may want all of the small groups to rotate through the stations
together. With this option, each Station Leader will only teach his or her area
one time (and may be able to teach several stations)!
Then both Preschool and Elementary children meet for opening and closing
assembly
What are some advantages of the kit?
Solid Bible teaching for both saved and unsaved and a new creative teaching
method for each day to hold kids' attention.
What items are reproducible?
Everything is reproducible, except for the Music CD.
How long will it take for me to get the kit?
Due to the great number of orders for our kit each year, we recommend allowing
at least 14 day delivery time for your order, after we have received your
printed order form. Most all orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail!
